Eddie’s one of his bucket lists is to run 6 Foot Track Marathon.
His first entry was not successful due to Covid occurrence in 2020 and we all thought he finally would make it this year.
He was training himself hard so far and we booked an accomodation for supporting him too.
But it was suddenly cancelled again one and half weeks ago because of heavy and prolonged rain which damaged many parts of tracks unfortunately.
He was terribly disappointed at first but soon he regained his good spirits and he simply decided to do it next year.
Rain suddenly stopped on Thursday which was 2 days before supposed- to- be Race Day after contiuous rain for weeks.
As if rain was a new norm we all talked about this rainless weather non stop and really appreciated it.
After Covid we miss just a nomal day without masks or any worries or anxieties about uncertianty.
Also after a long period of torrential rain we realized we had a perfect weather so far without really
knowing or appreciating.
Like oxygen or water we don't really know what we have until we are deprived of these simple but essential elements.
We got an excellent place in Blue Mountains thanks to Eddie.
It was a very tiny but modern two bed room house with very thorough and artistic touches of owners in everything.
We appreciated every details of home decorations like even lamps, cushions , paintings and some random ornaments here and there.
We enjoyed drinking teas and eating lunches at the deck.
Feeling cool breeze and looking down at trees :it was terrific.
There was literally no noise at all there except a few birds.
It was just like my dream home : a small, clean(modern) and quiet,…one day I wish my dream came true.
Otherwise I can stay at these kinds of places from time to time too.
Friday we walked an hour very leisurely late afternoon on Braesid Track to find some wet tracks and high creeks.
Nonetheless it was so refreshing to walk in a crispy air without people and rain.
Saturday we drove to Evans Lookout and parked our car there,
walked from Evans Lookout to Govetts Leap Lookout and came back home throuh Pops Glen Track.
It was tranquil and we enjoyed it so much.
After lunch Eddie ran to Evans Lookout to fetch our car.
Thanks to him we could enjoy our own comfort way of walking all the time.
It was a nice and brief holiday indeed.
