2019 has come as not a good year for both me and Suze.
I lost my permanent work spot which had been quite ideal for every aspect.
After almost 7 years I become a floater again.
Suze has started her new lawyer job which contiuously gives her stress.
So we are trying to grab every opportunity to get away.
For Queens Birhday long weekend we booked an accomodation impulsively without knowing much
about the area mainly to try a new venue.
Our destination was a little north from a well known town Forster.
Luckily it turned out a really good trip for us (except a little voluntary hiccup from my end).
Relatively close from home, serene environment and sudden warm weather for us.
Beaches and walking tracks were way better than I expected it to be.

I woke up way before sun rise.
We walked in the dark along the wooden path in the resort which led directly to the beach in 2 seconds.
Early winter morning was cold enough.
I found the sand there was pleasantly hard that it was easy to walk on it.
First day even 3 bicycles appeared and smoothly rolled on it , left soft tire marks on the surface.
Soon an old man came into view from no where in the opposite direction.
He was only wearing short swim pants to my real surprise in the early chilly morning.
He nonchalantly waved his hand to us and kept on his way.
I saw him once again next morning.
He was just doing his routine every morning.
I absolutely loved this time of the day walking around the beach enjoying every moment from the dawn to early morning.
After breakfast I enjoyed warm morning sun lazying around at the balcony while they were out photographing inside the resort.
It was a rare experience enjoying slowness without rushing to somewhere promptly.

Booti Hill and Wallis Lake walking track
I didn't expect I would encounter this amazing scenery there.
Plus ironically my stupid temper contributed a fair share to this result.
We leisurely left home for a short walk after lunch.
We drove down south to Forster way.
After Forster we arrived at Ruins Camp Ground where this amazing track started.

Walking through first part of deep forest way up hill was exhilarating.
From time to time I caught glimps of the ocean from the gaps between trees.
It made me expect that I could overlook expansive unobstructed ocean view somewhere soon.
It didn't happen.
Eddie and Suze stopped before the trailhead at the beach and took a long time to take photos.
I often got impatient when two of them stopped and spent a long time taking photos.
So I kept walking by myself to keep my walking rhythm.
When I reached at the highest part of a hill I waited for them.
They came a little later.
Suze said she didn't like we separately walked the whole part.
I guess I've got her point but it's not always easy to wait patiently.
Maybe I need to work on it.
Now I was expecting a small exclusive beach only accessible from hiking at the end of the track.
Instead the track suddenly went down after a small peak and ran away from quiet area
into too ordinary beach( Elizabeth Beach)where suddenly track ended and I saw lots of cars parked.
At that moment I couldn't see how to reach Wallis Lake.
I remembered I saw a sign before the track bent downwards.
Eddie went to check it ignoring that I felt like going back via the path we came.
I was complaining loudly walking side by side with Suze.
She couldn't stand my nonsense and tried not to listen.
Even so it was immature I turned around and went back up to the route we came back
leaving her there!!!
Soon senses came back to me and I started feeling regrettable.
Up the hill and I got to the fork very soon where I had to make a choice again.
To the Wallis Lake or Ruins Camp.
I thought a moment and decided to go join them.
I assumed they were walking via lake way.
How come I didn't know about Eddie?
They didn't think I would choose back to Lake way.
They were trying to catch me up with a fast pace so when I called them
looking at the lake they were already walking on the track to Ruins Camp past the fork.
They came back to join me which delayed us more than an hour at where
we were supposed to be initially.
Suze was happy to see me but at the same time complained about my disappearance.
I forgot about her rudeness(?) and sheepishly smiled at her concerned face.
Eddie on the other hand generously told me that we could enjoy the sun set at lake thanks to me.
OMG
How come that stupid anger came so quick and dissolved instantly?
It only can happen within family.
But I thought to myself again I need to work on it for sure.
I saw several people gathered at Sun Set Point near where the track started.
Early winter sun had already started its journey going back home.
I know it's simply happening on daily basis but it's a dramatic and dynamic show on the go
we could rarely have witnessed in our life.
We were very lucky.
The track along the lake was a flat and pleasant easy one.
I loved this circuit track immensely.
Especially the part along the lake was superb.
There were no hikers doing this circuit track except one mother and son whom we
passed earlier in the forest and saw them again at later part of lake track.
They must have started from Elizabeth Beach.
I'd never seen such a huge lake which was seren and clean.
It was like a gigantic mirror spread down under from the sky.
Lake embraced exact images of clouds and low hills etc on the serene surface
just like a super mirror.
When we finally arrived at the end of the track it got completely dark and chilly
and we were still far away from where we parked.
Of course my generous Eddie ran to fetch our car and drove back in no time for us.
It was warm and secure sitting in the car after an evenful afternoon.
I tried to be soaked in those familiar good exhaustions after a good hike
trying to forget about my silly behaviours.
