Na Pali Coast - Zodiac Boat Tour

by Mt Solitary 2019. 8. 24.

Today was Suze's sort of day.

Suze wanted to see Na Pali Coast via Sea.

Our boat trip started at Kekaha Boat Harbour which was only 40 minutes' drive from Poipu.

Lucky we chose a morning ride from 7am till 12am.

Later I learned morning seas were more likely smoother with better weather.

She booked and paid for this boat trip for three of us and she absolutely enjoyed it 100 percent.

She was natural with almost everything in terms of ocean.

I was very proud and envious of her.

Me and Eddie?

Well, first of all I should be very proud of my capability to endure this crazy

rollercoaster ride the whole time without any complications.

However how I wished I could have exerted a courage to jump into the ocean

just for a short time at least.

I did once when we went to the Great Barrier Reefs where I could grab

the rope they put around the pontoon area.

This time they didn't bother to encourage people who didn't want to jump.

Surpringly there were three more people who just stayed at the boat

while others were freely enjoying themselves.

I had a short moment dipping myself into the ocean holding the boat ladder tho.

That was all.

I couldn't conquer my phobia after all.

Eddie didn't quite enjoy snorkeling but at least he jumped into those

deep oceans twice to my absolute jealousy.

What the Zodiac boat ride was like

Just the night before I found what kind of boat I was going to board and

I got really scared.

I didn't really realize what I signed up for until then.

There were no proper seats at all in this small inflatable motor boat.

Passengers sat on the edges of the boat.

It was an on-going strenuous ride sitting on the side holding on ropes

supporting your bare feet into the ropes on the bottom of the boat at the same time.

I couldn't forget those moments when the boat started jumping everywhere

with the loud music on.

With these jovial captian and his assistant singing and laughing the whole time!

These excitements of vibes were contagious and I somewhat enjoyed it ,well quite a lot.

There was a lady who was suffering severe seasick but I was ok with a proper preparation.

It must have been awful to be like that!

We saw Hawaiian spinner dolphines as soon as we were on board.

And we visited numerous sea caves and waterfalls which couldn't be accessible otherwise.

One time the captain warned us when we went into under a waterfall don't stand up

and I heard him all right but unconsciously when water attacked me I stood up

and of course it became a good teasing topic of Suze towards me afterwards.

Thank god no one else did so the boat was safe!

When the boat arrived at the designated spot the captain stopped the boat and anchored it for an hour.

Hawaiian sea was warm and alluring.

On the way back the sun got stronger and I tried to hold the cap on my head tightly

but it got just swept away with the insane speed of our boat without knowing it.

I didn't expect it but the boat captain decided to go back to rescue my poor cap

which was floating on the sea surface as if it was alive waiting to be rescued.

It was one hell of a ride and event for all of us.
